HomeMy WebLinkAbout1985-209 CCRMember Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 85 -209 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION FOR THE DEDICATED SERVICE OF JIM MOFFET WHEREAS, Jim Moffet served as Chairman of the 1985 Brooklyn Center All America Cities Committee; and WHEREAS, his devotion to and professionalism towards the tasks and responsibilities of the committee contributed substantially to the selection of Brooklyn Center as a finalist in the All- America Cities competition; and WHEREAS, his service and effort for the betterment of the community merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center; and WHEREAS, it is highly appropriate that his service to the community should be recognized and expressed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the dedicated service of Jim Moffet as Chairman of the Brooklyn Center All America Cities Committee is hereby recognized and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center. November 18, 1985 Date f ATTEST: Clerk Mayor� /�G The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Hawes, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. i
