HomeMy WebLinkAbout1985-210 CCRI adoption: Member Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its RESOLUTION NO. 85 -210 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION FOR THE DEDICATED SERVICE OF REVEREND DICK RABINE WHEREAS, Reverend Dick Rabine served in the capacity of oral presenter of Brooklyn Center's entry to the 1985 Ali- America Cities competition; and WHEREAS, his devotion to the tasks and responsibilities related to the preparation and delivery of the speech contributed substantially to Brooklyn Center's excellent presentation at the All- America Cities competition; and WHEREAS, his service and effort for the betterment of the community merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center; and WHEREAS, it is highly appropriate that his service to the community should be recognized and expressed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the dedicated service of Reverend Dick Rabine as presenter of Brooklyn Center's entry to the 1985 All- America Cities competition is hereby recognized and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center. ATTEST: Mayor ///a44 f The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Hawes, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
