HomeMy WebLinkAbout1985-217 CCRadoption: Member Gene Lhotka introduced the following resolution and moved its RESOLUTION NO. 85 -217 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION FOR THE DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF MICHAEL BEAUCHANE WHEREAS, Michael Beauchane served as a member of the Brooklyn Center Charter Commission from December, 1978 through August, 1985; and WHEREAS, his devotion to the tasks and responsibilities of the Commission contributed substantially to the sound progress and development of the City; and WHEREAS, his public service and civic effort for the betterment of the community merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center; and WHEREAS, it is highly appropriate that his service to the community should be recognized and expressed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the dedicated public service of Michael Beauchane as a member of the Charter Commission is hereby recognized and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center. December 9, 1985 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Rich Theis and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene Lhotka, and Rich Theis; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
