HomeMy WebLinkAbout1985-249 CCR1 Member Gene Lhctka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 85° -249 RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF CENTERBROOK GOLF COURSE (PROJECT NO. 1985 -23, CONTRACT 1986 -C) WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 85 -115 adopted by the Council on the 24th day of June, 1985, Brauer and Associates, Ltd. prepared plans and specifications for Improvement Project No. 1985 -23 and have presented such plans and specifications to the Council for approval. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota: 1. The plans and specifications for the following improvement as prepared are approved and ordered filed with the City Clerk: CENTERBROOK GOLF COURSE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1985 -23 F 1 2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted at least twice in the official newspaper and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall appear not less than 3 weeks (21 days) prior to the date for receipt of bids, and specify the work to be done, state that said bids will be received by the City Clerk until 11:00 A.M. on January 30, 1986, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers at City Hall by the City Clerk and City Engineer, will then be tabulated and will be considered by the City Council at 7:00 P.M. on February 10, 1986, in the Council Chambers, and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond, or certified check payable to the City for 5 percent of the amount of such bid.
