HomeMy WebLinkAbout1986-013 CCRMember Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 86 -13 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR PROJECT NO. 1986 -02, CONTRACT 1986 -B (POLICE DEPARTMENT REMODELING PHASE II) WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Improvement Project No. 1986 -02, bids were received, opened, and tabulated by the City Clerk and Engineer, on the 22nd day of January, 1986. Said bids were as follows: 1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract, in the amount of $38,584.00 with Gem Construction of Rosemount, Minnesota in the name of the City of Brooklyn Center, for Improvement Project No. 1986 -02 according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that: 1. The estimated cost of Improvement Project No. 1986 -02 is hereby amended according to the following schedule: As Approved As Bid Contract 45,000 38,584 Consultant 5.000 5.000 50,000 43,584 Bidder Bid Amount GEM CONSTRUCTION 38,584 ZNC CONSTRUCTION 41,178 HOLST CONSTRUCTION 43,640 DNR CONSTRUCTION 45,975 MORCON 46,469 PROCO WOOD PRODUCTS 47,880 ROCON 47,906 HMH ENTERPRISES 48,288 DAHN BUILDERS 49,500 COMMERCIAL HOUSING RENOVATORS 49,889 TCM 55,924 WHEREAS, it appears that Gem Construction of Rosemount, Minnesota, is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota: 1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract, in the amount of $38,584.00 with Gem Construction of Rosemount, Minnesota in the name of the City of Brooklyn Center, for Improvement Project No. 1986 -02 according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. 2.
