resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 85 -138
RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO.
1985 -24 (INSTALLATION OF SIDEWALKON WEST SIDE OF
HUMBOLDT AVENUE NORTH BETWEEN 71ST AVENUE AND AMY
LANE) AND ACCEPTING QUOTATIONS FOR CONSTRUCTION
THEREOF
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council that a
public sidewalk should be installed on the West side of Humboldt
Avenue between Amy Lane and 71st Avenue North; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has received
proposals for such improvement:
Bidder
Bid Amount
Halvorson Construction 5,536.00
Thomas Sons Construction, Inc. 7,650.00
WHEREAS, the proposal of Halvorson Construction of
Anoka, Minnesota, in the amount of $5,536.00 is the lowest
responsible proposal received.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the
City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota:
1. The following project is hereby established:
Project No. 1985 -24 Installation of sidewalk on
West Side of Humboldt Avenue North from Amy Lane to
71st Avenue North
2. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and
directed to enter into the attached contract, in the
amount of $5,536.00 with Halvorson Construction of
Anoka, Minnesota in the name of the City of Brooklyn
Center, for Improvement Project No. 1985 -24
according to the plans and specifications therefor
approved by the City Council and on file in the
office of the City Clerk.
3. All costs for Project No. 1985 -24 shall be charged
to Municipal State Aid Fund 600.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member Bill Hawes and upon vote being
taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
Dean Nyquist, Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
