HomeMy WebLinkAbout1985-157 CCR[1 Member Gene Lhotka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 85 -157 RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 1985 GENERAL FUND BUDGET TO PROVIDE FOR WAGE AND SALARY ADJUSTMENTS WHEREAS, Section 7.08 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center does provide that the City Council may, by majority vote of its members, transfer unencumbered appropriation balances from one office, department, or agency to another within the same fund; and WHEREAS, on September 24, 1984, the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center adopted a budget for the calendar year 1985; and WHEREAS, when said budget was adopted, 1985 salaries and wages for some City employees had not been set; and WHEREAS, the City Council did appropriate funds for departmental labor and fringe benefits in the amount of $226,219 to Unallocated Departmental Expense (Department #80) to provide funds for 1985 salary and wage settlements; and WHEREAS, all wages and salaries for the calendar year 1985 have now been set by the Council; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to transfer $158,987 from the following Unallocated Departmental Expense (Department #80) appropriations: 01-4100 Salaries, Regular Employees 135,710 01-4141 PERA-Regular -1,797 01-4142 PERA-Combined 4,364 014143 PERA-Police 4,151 01-4144 Social Security 8,086 01-4151 Hospitalization Insurance 8,377 01-4152 Life Insurance -25 01-4157 Deferred Compensation 121 158,987; and fESCLurim N0. 85 -157 1 Increase the following dual or divisional appropriations in the total amount of $158,987 as folio z: Depart- Salaries Salaries Salaries PERA PERA PERA Health Life Deferred ment or Regular Overtime Tenporary Regular Canbined Police FICA Insxance Inge Carp.
