its adoption:
RESOLUTION N0. 85 °164
RESOLUTION DECLARING THE BROOKLYN CENTER HIGH SCHOOL
SILVER ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
WHEREAS, 25 years ago Brooklyn Center Junior- Senior High School was
established to not only serve the students of the school but the community as well;
and
WHEREAS, over the past 25 years there has been a great spirit of
cooperation between the City of Brooklyn Center and the Brooklyn Center school
district; and
WHEREAS, although the school district does serve only a portion of
Brooklyn Center, the service and spirit of the school extends to the whole
community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn
Center that September 27, 28, and 29, 1985 is hereby declared the Brooklyn Center
High School Silver Anniversary Celebration in Brooklyn Center and the City looks
forward to a continued spirit of cooperation with the school in the years to come.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Rich Theis and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist., Gene Lhotka, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
