HomeMy WebLinkAbout1985-194 CCRMember Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 85 -194 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION FOR THE DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF NANCY MANSON WHEREAS, Nancy Manson served as a member of the Brooklyn Center Planning Commission from January 1, 1979 through October 10, 1985; and 1 WHEREAS, Ms. Manson served as Planning Commission Chairman Pro tem from January 1, 1982 through October 10, 1985; and WHEREAS, her devotion to the tasks and responsibilities of the Commission contributed substantially to the sound progress and development of the City; and WHEREAS, her public service and civic effort for the betterment of the community merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center; and WHEREAS, it is highly appropriate that her service to the community should be recognized and expressed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the dedicated public service of Nancy Manson as a member of the Planning Commission is hereby recognized and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center. November 4, 1985 Date ATTEST: �lerk Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Rich Theis and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
