HomeMy WebLinkAbout1985-046 CCRMember Rich Theis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 85 -46 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND APPROVING CONTRACT 1985 -C (LIQUOR STORE PROJECT NO. 1985 -03) WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Improvement Project No. 1985 -03, bids were received, opened, and tabulated by the City Clerk and Engineer, on the 7th day of March, 1984. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota: 1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract, in the amount of $134,500 (for Base Bid, Alternate 1 and Alternate 2) with The Fendler Company in the name of the City of Brooklyn Center, for Improvement Project No. 1985 -03 according to the plans and specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. RESOLUTION NO. 85 -46 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that: 1. The estimated cost of Improvement Project No. 1985 -03 is hereby amended according to the following schedule: As Bid Contract Cost $134,500 Contingency for Landscaping 3,000 Engineering Cost Consultant 14,500 Administration 1,380 TOTAL $153,380 2. Accounting for Improvement Project No. 1985 -03 will be done in Division 91 of the Liquor Store Fund. March 25, 1985 Date ATTEST: C May T/ G' The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Celia Scott and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
