resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 85 -76
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING PETITION, RECEIVING ENGINEER'S
REPORT, ESTABLISHING EWING AVENUE NORTH STREET
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1985 -10, AND CALLING FOR A
HEARING THEREON
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Brooklyn
Center, Minnesota, has received a petition requesting the
installation of curb and gutter and related street improvements
along Ewing Avenue North from 68th Avenue North to 69th Avenue
North; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has submitted a report to the
City Council regarding the feasibility of the petitioned
improvement:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of
the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that:
1. Said petition is hereby accepted.
2. The Engineer's Report, as submitted by the City
Engineer, is hereby received and accepted.
3. The proposed project is hereby established:
EWING AVENUE NORTH STREET IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT NO. 1985 -10
4. The Council will consider the improvement in
accordance with the report and the assessment of
abutting property for all or a portion of the cost
of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes
Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost of the
improvement of $48,580.00.
5. The area to be included within the assessment
District for Improvement Project No. 1985 -10 shall
be abutting properties along Ewing Avenue North
between 68th Avenue North and 69th Avenue North.
6. A public hearing shall be held on the proposed
improvement on the 10th day of June, 1985, in the
Council Chambers of the City Hall at 8:00 P.M. local
time, and the Clerk shall give mailed and published
notice of such hearing and improvement as required
by law.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly
seconded by member Bill Hawes and upon vote being
taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist,
Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
