HomeMy WebLinkAbout1985-105 CCRLrW Member Rich Theis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 85 -105 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR YEARS IX AND X TO HENNEPIN COUNTY FOR A CCNSIDERATION AS PART OF THE URBAN HENNEPIN COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1974, AS AMENDED WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center has executed a cooperation agreement with Hennepin County agreeing to participate in the Urban Hennepin County Community Development Block Program; and WHEREAS, the three year Community Development Program and Housing Assistance Plan has been prepared consistent with the Ccmprehensive Urban Hennepin County Community Development strategy and the Community Development Program regulations; and WHEREAS, three year Community Development Program and Housing Assistance Plan has been subject to citizen review pursuant to the Urban Hennepin County Citizen Participation Plan; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center approve the amendments to program years IX and X as follows: Year IX Projects #001 Acquisition (Homeownership) $227,000 #551 Rehab Private Property 33,991 #826 Contingency- 55,575 Year IX Total $316,566 Year X #551 Rehab Private Property $305,637 Year X Total $305,637 That the above projects in the amount of $622,203 be reprogrammed for a new project for the removal of slum and blight through the acquisition of the Earle Brown Farm State Historic site.
