HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-144 CCRMember Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 84 -144 RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A TAX LEVY FOR 1985 BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center: 1. There is hereby approved for expenditures from general taxes, the following sums for the purpose indicated: CITY OPERATION AND ADMINISTRATION 2 EMPLOYEE'S RETIREMENT 365,968 3,019,801 The foregoing does not include levies already certified to the County Auditor for the payment of outstanding loans, which levies for the year 1985 are as follows: duly seconded by member following Voted in favor and Rich Theis; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. September 24, 1984 Date Mayor ATTEST: 4L;kK The motion of the adoption of the foregoing resolution was Gene Lhotka and upon vote being taken thereon, the thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes and the following voted against the same: none; PARK IMPROVEMENT BONDS OF 1980 REDEMPTIONN 180,201 1969 BUILDING AND IMPROVEMENT BOND REDEMPTION 190,600 370,801 TOTAL EXPENDITURES FOR THE YEAR 1985 FROM GENERAL TAXES 3,390,602 2. There is hereby levied upon all taxable property lying within the City of Brooklyn Center, in addition to all levies heretofore certified to the County Auditor as indicated in paragraph one hereof, the sum of $3,019,801, and the City Clerk shall cause a copy of this resolution to be certified to the County Auditor so that said sum shall be spread upon the tax rolls and will be payable in the year 1985.
