HomeMy WebLinkAbout1985-012 CCRMember Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 85 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION FOR THE DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF MARVIN TRAUTWEIN WHEREAS, Marvin Trautwein served as a member of the Brooklyn Center Human Rights Commission from November 1980 through December 1984; and WHEREAS, his devotion to the tasks and responsibilities of the Commission contributed substantially to the sound progress and development of the City; and WHEREAS, his public service and civic effort for the betterment of the community merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center; and WHEREAS, it is highly appropriate that his service to the community should be recognized and expressed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the dedicated public service of Marvin Trautwein as a member of the Human Rights Commission is hereby recognized and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center. January 14, 1985 Date `4a I ATTEST: Clerk The motion for tie adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Hawes and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyqui.st, Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
