HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-110 CCRMember Gene Lhotka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 84 -110 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION FOR THE DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF PHYLLIS PLUMMER WHEREAS, Mrs. Phyllis Plummer served as a member of the Brooklyn Center Housing Commission from February 10, 1975 through July 1, 1984; and WHEREAS, she served as Chair of the Housing Commission from January 9, 1978 through July 1, 1984; and WHEREAS, her devotion to the tasks and responsibilities of the Commission contributed substantially to the sound progress and development of the City; and WHEREAS, her public service and civic effort for the betterment of the community merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center; and WHEREAS, it is highly appropriate that her service to the community should be recognized and expressed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the dedicated public service of Mrs. Phyllis Plummer as Chair of the Brooklyn Center Housing Commission is hereby recognized and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center. July 23, 1984 Date Mayor ATTEST: The motion for`the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Hawes and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene Lhotka, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
