adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 83 -202
RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 1983 GENERAL FUND BUDGET
WHEREAS, Section 7.08 of the City Charter does provide for the transfer of
unencumbered appropriation balances from one department to another within the
same fund; and
WHEREAS, when the City Council adopted the 1983 General Fund Budget, it did
provide funding for one year ($30,000) for one patrol officer position which
was eliminated under the Police Department reorganization plan; and
WHEREAS, said funding was appropriated to the Unallocated Departmental
Expenses Personal Services accounts in the 1983 General Fund Budget; and
WHEREAS, the position was utilized during the calendar year 1984 and the
personal services expenses were paid from the Police Department Personal Services
accounts:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn
Center to amend the 1983 General Fund Budget as follows:
Increase the appropriations for the following Police Department Personal
Services accounts in the amounts shown:
III Account No. 4100 Salaries, Regular Employees $25,495
Account No. 4143 PERA Police 3,245
Account No. 4151 Hospitalization Insurance 1,224
Account No. 4152 Life Insurance 36
$30,000
Decrease the appropriations for the corresponding accounts in
Unallocated Departmental Expenses in the same amounts.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Rich Theis and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene Lhotka, and Rich Theis
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
