HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-024 CCR Member Rich Theis introduced the following resolution and 'moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 84 -24 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING QUOTATIONS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF A VEHICTE FOR USE BY THE CITY MANAGER WHEREAS, it is recommended that the purchase of a vehicle for the City Manager's 24 hour business use be authorized in accordance with the 1984 City Manager's Compensation Agreement; and WHEREAS, the purchase of said vehicle is in lieu of the $230 per month vehicle allowance authorized by the 1984 City Manager's Compensation Agreement; and WHEREAS, funds for the purchase of said vehicle shall be obtained from the Public Utilities Fund; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 83 -172 as amended, written quota- tions were received for the purchase of a vehicle for the City Manager; and WHEREAS, quotations received were as follows: Bidder Type of Vehicle Quotation Brookdale Ford 1983 Ford Escort (8,000 miles) $7,300 Superior Ford 1983 Ford Escort (22,000 miles) $8,400 Superior Ford 1983 Ford Escort (17,000 miles) $8,600 WHEREAS, the quotation received from Brookdale Ford, in the amount of $7,300 was the lowest quotation from a responsible dealer. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the quotation for the purchase of a vehicle for the City Manager be accepted and the City Manager be authorized to purchase the same. February 13, 1984 Date Mayor ATTEST: 1 f t The motion for the' -doption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Hawes, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene -_Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
