HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982-084 CCR Member Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 82 -84 RESOLUTION ORDERING EARLE BROWN DRIVE STREET LIGHT IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1982 -08 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 82 -58 adopted by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota on April 12, 1982 fixed a date for a public hearing on the proposed improvement of Earle Brown Drive by installation of street lights; and WHEREAS, ten days' published notice on the hearing through two weekly publications of the required notice was given, and the hearing was held thereon on May 10, 1982, at which time all persons desiring to be heard were given an opportunity to be heard thereon; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that it is hereby determined that it is necessary and in the best interests of the City and the owners specially benefited thereby, that Earle Brown Drive Street Light Improvement Project No. 1982 -08 be constructed. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that: 1. The estimated cost, as outlined below, will be financed by the levy of Special Assessments. Contract $4,290.00 Administration 220.00 $4,510.00 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with Northern States Power Company for the work comprehended under Improvement Project No. 1982 -08. May 10, 1982 gat Ma or ATTEST: f Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Hawes and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis; and the following voted against the same: Gene Lhotka, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
