HomeMy WebLinkAbout1981-252 CCR Member Tony Kuefler introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: Ill RESOLUTION NO. 81 252 RESOLUTION PERTAINING TO CHANGE ORDER NO. 5 TO CONTRACT 1980 -K (PARKS IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1980 -16) WHEREAS, the City Council entered into Contract 1980 -K with Bury and Carlson, Inc. of Minneapolis, Minnesota, for the construction of Parks Improvement Project No. 1980 -16, and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has determined that certain modifica- tions be made to the contract to facilitate the completion of the project, said modifications being as follows: 1. In lieu of completing the seeding operation to the acceptance of the City, the Contractor shall receive a 20% unit price reduction for seeding. This shall result in a $1,691.84 decrease in the contract amount. 2. The Contractor and City shall share 1 the cost of repair Y equally Pa of the security lighting system at Kylawn Park caused by van- dalism and rodents eating through the underground wiring cable. This shall result in a $1,131.50 increase in the contract amount (50% of $2,263.00); and WHEREAS, the Contractor, Bury and Carlson, Inc. has agreed to the prices for the modifications as noted above. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the above modifications to Improvement Project N. 1980 -16 are approved, resulting in a $560.34 reduction in the contract amount. ATTEST: ,i►� LLL i ;flerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Gene Lhotka and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, and Gene Lhotka; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
