HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982-014 CCR Member Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 82 -14 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION FOR THE DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF MR. JERRY JOHNSON WHEREAS, Jerry Johnson served as a member of the Park Recreation Commission from May, 1973 through December, 1981, and served as the Commission's Chairman from September, 1976 through December, 1981; and WHEREAS, his leadership of the Commission and devotion to the tasks and responsibilities of the Commission contributed substantially to the sound progress and development of the City; and WHEREAS, his public service and civic effort for the betterment of the community merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the civic leadership and dedicated public service of Jerry Johnson as a member and Chairman of the Park Recreation Commission is recognized and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center.
