HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982-040 CCR Member Gene Lhotk4 introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 82 -40 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND APPROVING CONTRACT FORM DISEASED SHADE TREE REMOVAL CONTRACT 1982—C WHEREAS, the City Clerk and the City Engineer have reported that on March 4, 1982, at 11:00 A.M., Local Time, they opened and tabulated bids received for Diseased Shade Tree Removal Project N. 1982 -04, and that said bids were as follows: BIDDER 'TOTAL AMOUNT Arps Tree Service $28,277.50 Clark Landscaping 29,270.00 American Tree 29,950.00 Design Tree Service, Inc. 33,793.02 Midwest Stump Removal 33,970.00 Arbor Tree Service 39,320.00* *Engineer's correction based upon unit extension WHEREAS, it appears that Arps Tree Service of Cedar, Minnesota, III is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota: 1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract in the amount of $28,277.50 with Arps Tree Service of Cedar, Minnesota in the name of the City of Brooklyn Center, for Improvement Project Tb. 1982 -04 according to the specifications therefor approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. s :r 1�` ATTEST: d 1fiwy P k III The motion for the goption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Celia Scott,and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott, Bill Hawes, and Rich Theis; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
