HomeMy WebLinkAbout1981-155 CCR Member Tony Kuefler introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 81 -155 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SALE OF FORFEITED LANDS WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 282.01, Subdivision 1, the State of Minnesota, as trustee under Minnesota Statutes, Section 281.25, on the llth day of August, 1967, conveyed to the City of Brooklyn Center the lands hereinafter described, to be used for an authorized public use; and WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center failed to put such land to the public use for which it was conveyed and has now reconveyed said lands to the State of Minnesota, as such trustee; and WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 81 -104 the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center authorized its Mayor and City Manager to execute an indenture between the City of Brooklyn Center, as party of the first part, and the State of Minnesota, as trustee as party of the second part, for the purpose of re- conveying into the said party of the second part all the tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Hennepin in the State of Minnesota, described as follows, to wit: 01- 118 -21 -34 -0123 II/ South half (S1) of East 50 feet of West 150 feet, Lot Nine (9), Block Three (3), Bellvue Acres, Hennepin County, Minnesota, in trust as provided by Minnesota Statutes, Section 281.25, upon like conditions and with like effect as if said lands had not been conveyed to said party of the first part as aforesaid; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, acting pursuant to Minnesota Statute 282 that the sale of the above described parcel of land is hereby approved.
