HomeMy WebLinkAbout1981-205 CCR Member Bill Fignar introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 81 -205 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND APPROVING CONTRACT FOR CIVIC CENTER HANDICAP ENTRANCE WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the contruction of a handicap entrance to the Brooklyn Center Civic Center, bids were received, opened and tabulated by the City Clerk, on the 14th day of October, 1981. Said bids were as follows: Bidder Bid Amount Hoffman Electric $10,983 Midco TV Systems 7,500 Security Products 7,137 Television Systems, In. 9,475 WHEREAS, it appears that Security Products of Osseo, Minnesota, is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that: 1. The Mayor and the City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract in the amount of $7,137 with Security Products for the construction of a handicap entrance to the Civic Center in accordance with the plans and specifications approved by the City Council and on file in the offices of the City Clerk. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposit of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until the contract has been signed.
