HomeMy WebLinkAbout1981-211 CCR Member Tony Kuefler introduced the following resolution and moved III its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 81 -211 RESOLUTION REGARDING SKATING RINKS FOR THE 1981 -82 SEASON WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Center Park Recreation Commission serves as an advisory body to the Brooklyn Center City Council; and WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Center City Council requested that the Park Recreation Commission review the City wide skating rink program for the 1981 -82 season; and WHEREAS, the Park Recreation Commission considered the matter of skating rinks at its October 13, 1981 meeting and made certain recommendations regarding the 1981 -82 skating rink program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota that the following recommendations of the Park Recreation Commission regarding 1981 -82 skating rink program be accepted: In addition to opening and supervising the warming houses at Evergreen, Willow Lane, Garden City, Kylawn, Northport, Grandview, West Palmer and Orchard Lane Parks the warming houses at Bellvue, Brooklane, East Palmer, Fire House, III Freeway, Lions, and Riverdale Parks shall be open and supervised on Friday evenings from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and school vacation days from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. during the 1981 -82 season. Satellite toilet facilities shall be maintained at these locations for the 1981 -82 season and warming houses at Happy Hollow and Twin Beach Parks shall remain closed for the 1981 -82 seas, October 19, 1981 Date Mayor f idif j"°' ATTEST: If A V _4 i 1 Cl/ The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Gene Lhotka, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka, and Celia Scott; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
