HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-212 CCR Member Gene Lhotka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 80 -212 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION FOR THE DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF AL WEYRAUCH WHEREAS, Al Weyrauch served as-a member of the Human Rights Commission from January, 1971 through June 1980 and as that body's Chairman from January 1976 through December 1979; and WHEREAS, his devotion to the tasks and responsibilities of this Commission and the leadership he provided contributed substantially to the sound progress and development of the City; and WHEREAS, his public service and civic effort for the betterment of the community merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that: The dedicated public service of Al Weyrauch as a member and Chairman of the Human Rights Commission and citizen, is recognized and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center. August 25, 1980' 7 t Date Mayor 4.1 ATTEST: r :1 -.meggPC, -riza.. lerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Tony Kuefler and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka, and Celia Scott; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
