HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-226 CCR Member Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 80 -226 RESOLUTION CERTIFYING DELINQUENT PUBLIC UTILITY ACCOUNTS TO THE HENNEPIN COUNTY TAX ROLLS WHEREAS, the records of the Public Utilities Billing Department lists certain accounts as delinquent for the year; and WHEREAS, the consumers have been notified of the delinquency according to legal requirements; and WHEREAS, State Statutes 444.075 authorized certification of the delinquent accounts to the County tax rolls for collection; and WI]EREAS, an assessment roll has been prepared tabulating those properties where a delinquent public utility account is to be assessed with the amount, includ- ing interest and service charges, to be assessed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, as follows: 1) The assessment roll of delinquent public utility accounts is hereby adopted and confirmed. III 2) The assessments as adopted and confirmed shall be placed upon the 1980 payable 1981 tax rolls by the Director of Finance of Hennepin County to be paid in one annual installment with interest thereon at eight percent (8%) per annum, the first year bearing fifteen months interest. September 22, 1980 Date MaYor j� J ATTEST: __�CsZ 1 tlerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Tony Kuefler and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka, and Celia Scott; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
