of proposed Storm Sewer Improvement Project No. 1980 -24.
III The Clerk produced an affidavit of publication of notice of hearing
on the proposed improvement showing two weeks' publication thereof in the official
newspaper, the last publication being on September 11, 1980, which affidavit was
examined and found satisfactory and ordered placed on file.
The Mayor then called upon all property owners present to present
arguments either for or against the proposed improvement. After hearing and
considering all objections, and the property owners appearing in favor of said
improvement, member Bill Fignar introduced the following resolution
and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 80 -229
RESOLUTION ORDERING STORM SEWER IMPROVEMENT PRDJECT NO. 1980
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn'Center,
Minnesota, that it is hereby determined that it is necessary and for the best
interests of the City and the owners of property tpecially benefitted thereby,
that the following improvement shall be constructed:
Project No. 1980 -24
Storm sewer on an easement from Shingle Creek Parkway at its
intersection with 67th Avenue Northwestward approximately
III 1,750 feet to an outfall in a drainageway, said drainageway
to be constructed approximately 900 feet in length and con-
necting to Shingle Creek.
The estimated cost is $280,850.00.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Celia Scott and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar,
Gene Lhotka, and Celia Scott;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
