RESOLUTION NO. 81 -56
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND APPROVING CON'T'RACT FORM
DISEASED SHADE TREE REMOVAL CONTRACT 1981 -A
WHEREAS, the City Clerk and the City Engineer have reported that on
February 19, 1981, at 11:00 A.M., Local Time, they opened and tabulated bids
received for Diseased Shade Tree Removal Project No. 1981 -01, and that said
bids were as follows:

Design Tree Service, Inc. 31,590.00
Clark Landscaping 32,975.00
Bluemel -Timm Tree Service, Inc. 45,739.00
Arps Tree Service 46,355.00*
*Engineer's correction based upon unit extension
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City Engineer to the satis-
faction of the City Council that the bid of American Tree is the best bid sub-
mitted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Cbuncil of the City of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the bid of American Tree, in the amount of
$29,993.00, as to furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, and equipment in
connection with the above mentioned improvement project, according to the plans
and specifications therefore now on file in the office of the City Clerk, is
deemed to be the best bid submitted for said work by a responsible bidder, and
said bid is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Manager are hereby
authorized to execute a contract with said bidder.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Gene Lhotka and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka,
and Celia Scott;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
