HomeMy WebLinkAbout1981-061 CCRMember Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 81 -61 RESOLUTION DESIGNATING APRIL 5, 1981 AS KALEIDOSCOPE DAY 1 WHEREAS, Brooklyn Center's fifth Kaleidoscope is scheduled for Sunday, April 5, 1981; and WHEREAS, Brooklyn Center Kaleidoscope is an event designed to give many individuals and organizations an opportunity to demonstrate a wide variety of opportunities and services including public services, hobbies, recreation, cultural activities, educational opportunities, civic activities, religious activities, health services, and commercial activities; and WHEREAS, Kaleidoscope offers all members of the community an opportunity to experience a great number of community resources and services. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that April 5, 1981 be designated Kaleidoscope Day here in Brooklyn Center. ti March 23, 1981 Date ATTEST C19rk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Gene Lhotka and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka, and Celia Scott; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
