moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 81 -112
RESOLUTION TO AMEND CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND APPROPRIATIONS
WHEREAS, the Capital Projects Fund was created to provide funds, and
to account for the expenditure of such funds, for major capital outlays, and /or
to reduce debt incurred for capital outlays; and
WHEREAS, certain park improvement projects are being constructed
through the Fund and appropriations have been made to those projects; and
WHEREAS, inflation and unforseen design problems have caused expend-
itures to exceed appropriations in certain of these projects; and
WHEREAS, certain projects have been completed and the final costs
were less than the funds appropriated; and
WHEREAS, there exists in the Capital Projects Fund a fund balance
which is available to be appropriated to those projects which have exceeded
their original appropriations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center that the following park improvement project appropriations
be increased by the amount indicated:
Shingle Creek Trailways, Grant I $159,000
Central Park, Grant I 40,000
Central Park, Grant II 90,000
Brooklane Shelter Building 18,000
$307,000
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the increased appropriations shall be
financed by transferring appropriations from completed projects in which
costs were less than the funds appropriated and from the Capital Projects
Fund fund balance in the amount indicated:
Park Bonding Costs 34,000
Arboretum 41,000
Shingle Creek Trailway, Grant II 5,000
Shingle Creek Relocation 39,000
Fund Balance 188,000
$307,000

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Gene Lhotka, Celia Scott,
and Bill Fignar;
and the following voted against the same; none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
