MENT PROJECT NO. 1981-20 (FREEWAY BOULEVAPD), ACCEPTINS EMINEER'S
REPORT, AND PROVIDIN33 FOR PUBLIC HEARING ON "•'•S IMPR9M\4ENT
PROJECTS !S 1981 19, AND 20
WHEREAS, the City Council has received a report from the City Engineer
regarding the feasibility of the improvement of Freeway Boulevard from Xerxes
Avenue North to Shingle Creek Parkway by construction of storm sewer, concrete
Sidewalk, and street improvements according to the following schedule of esti-
mated construction costs:
Street Improvement Project No. 1981 -18: $131,209.00
Sidewalk Improvement Project No. 1981 -19: 7,861.00
Storm Sewer Improvement Project No. 1981 -20: 29,183.00 and,
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it necessary and in the best interests
of the City of Brooklyn Center to complete said improvements:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL of the City of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the City Engineer's report is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn
Center, Minnesota, that:
1. Said improvements are hereby established as follows:
Street Improvement Project No. 1981 -18
Sidewalk Improvement Project No. 1981 -19
Storm Sewer Improvement Project No. 1981 -20
2. The accounting for these projects will be done in the Special
Assessment Fund.
3. There is appropriated the sum of $800.00 from the Special Assess-
ment Fund to provide consulting services.
4. The City Council authorizes the issuance of Master Note #1981 -01
to provide construction financing for this improvement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn
Center, Minnesota, as follows:
1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by
Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes.
2. A public hearing on the proposed improvement shall be held at the
City Hall in the city on Monday, the 13th day of July, 1981, at
8:00 o'clock P.M., and the Clerk shall publish notice of the time
and place of hearing by two weeks' publication in the official
newspaper of the city.

3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvement is as
follows:
STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1981 -18:
All property lying north of F.A.I. 94 bounded on the north
by County Road No. 130, on the west by the west line of
Section 35, T. 119, R. 21, and on the east by the following
described line:
Commencing at the northeast corner of the Outlot A,
Twin Cities Interchange Park, thence southerly on
the easterly line of said Outlot A to the southeast
corner of said Outlot A, thence southerly to the north-
west corner of Lot 1, Block 1, 'Rain Cities Interchange
Park, thence southerly on the westerly line of said
Iot 1 to the northerly right-of-way line of 65th
Avenue North, thence easterly on the north right -of-
way line of 65th Avenue North to Hiunboldt Avenue North,
thence southerly along the westerly right-of-way line
of Humboldt Avenue North to F.A.I. 94 and there termi-
nating; EXCEPT for Tracts B, C, D of R.L.S. No. 1274.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Celia Scott and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill
Fignar, Gene Lhotka, and Celia Scott;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
