HomeMy WebLinkAbout1981-125 CCR11 Member Gene Lhotka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka, and Celia Scott RESOLUTION NO. 81 -125 RESOLUTION REQUESTING HENNEPIN COUNTY TO APPR VE ESTABLISHMENT OF A PEDESTRIAN/BICYCLE 'TRAIL ON 69T14 AVENUE NORTH (C.S.A.H. 130) 1 1 WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center proposes to complete the regional trailway system within its corporate limits under Brooklyn Center Contract 1981 -E; and WHEREAS, the City is desirous of connecting said trailway system to the City's pathway system by installation of a bituminous trailway along 69th Avenue North (C.S.A.H. 130) from Shingle Creek to Oliver Avenue North; and WHEREAS, Improvement Project No. 1981 -12 comprehends said bitLuni- nous trailway placement within and along 69th Avenue North (C.S.A.H. 130) northerly right -of -way from Shingle Creek to Oliver Avenue North. NOW, FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL Of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the City Engineer is hereby directed to peti- tion Hennepin County to approve establishment of a pedestrian/bicycle trailway within and along the northerly right -of -way line of 69th Avenue North (C.S.A.H. 130) from Shingle Creek to Oliver Avenue North. 1 June 22, 1981 Date Mayor ATTEST: The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by fiber Tony Kuefler and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka, and Celia Scott and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
