HomeMy WebLinkAbout1981-020 CCRLJ j Member Tony Kuefler introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 81 -20 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION OF AND APPRECIATION FOR THE OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE OF DENIS AXEN 1981 TEACHER OF THE YEAR WHEREAS, Denis Axen has been selected as 1981 Teacher of the Year for Independent School District 286; and WHEREAS, his outstanding contribution to education in Brooklyn Center has contributed substantially to the sound progress and betterment of the community; and WHEREAS, his public service to the community merits the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the dedicated public service of Denis Axen is recognized and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center and that the City congratulates him on being chosen Teacher of the Year for 1981. January 12, 1981 Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Gene Lhotka, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka, and Celia Scott; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
