moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 81 -37
RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING DONATION FROM FARMERS AND MECHANICS
SAVINGS BANK
WHEREAS, Farmers and Mechanics Savings Bank has presented the City
with a donation of $6,865 and has designated that it be used for the purchase
and development of a jogging and exercise course in Central Park; and
WHEREAS, this donation has contributed substantially to the develop-
ment of Central Park; and
WHEREAS, this donation will provide residents of Brooklyn Center
with a unique and beneficial recreational facility; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is appreciative of the donation and
commends the Farmers and Mechanics Savings Bank for its civic efforts:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center to acknowledge the donation with gratitude; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the donation of $6,865 be appropriated
to the Parks Maintenance Capital Outlay Account.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka,
and Celia Scott;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
