[V?fUMEAS, the City Council has received a report from the City Engineer
regarding the feasibility of the reconstruction of Xerxes Avenue from T.H. 100 to
Co. Rd. 10 and 55th and 56th Avenues from T.H. 152 (Brooklyn Boulevard) to Xerxes
Avenue North at an estimated cost of $363,000.00; and
I'T EREAS, the City Council deems it necessary and in the best interests
of the City of Brooklyn Center to complete said improvement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn
Center, Minnesota, that said improvement be established as Improvement Project No.
1981 -03.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rrooklyn Center,
Minnesota, that the City Engineer's report is hereby accepted and that the City Fngi-
neer be directed to prepare plans and specifications for said Irrrove_ment Project
M. 1981 -03.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklvn Center,
Minnesota, as follows:
1. The Council proposes to proceed under authority granted by Chanter
429, Minnesota Statutes.
2. A public hearing on the proposed improvement shall be held at the
City Hall in the city on Monday, the 9th day of March, 1981, at
8:15 o'clock P.M., and the Clerk shall dish notice of the time
and place of hearing by two weeks' rublication in the official news-
paper of the city.
3. The area proposed to be assessed for said improvement is as follows:
All tracts and parcels within an area bounded on the north by
County Road 10, on the east by Shinnle Creek, on the south by T.H.
100, and on the west by T.H. 152 (Brooklyn Boulevard), FXCFPT that
part of Lots 45 and 46, Auditor's Subdivision No. i16, lying within
the following described boundary: comencinn at the southwest corner
of Lot 46, thence east 315 feet, thence northerly 1-- rallel with the
westerly line of Lots 46 and 45 a distance of 31 feet, thence
westerly parallel with the south line of Lot 45 to the west line
thereof, thence southerly to beginninc?; except road.
4. This proposed improvement shall be designated as Xerxes Avenue, 55th
Avenue, 56th Avenue Improvement ject No. 1981 -03

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon the following
voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka, and
Celia Scott; and the followingT voted against the same:
none.. whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
