HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-285 CCRMember Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 80 -285 RESOLUTION DESIGNATING JANUARY AS "CHAMBER OF COMMERCE MONTH" WHEREAS, the Brooklyn Center Chamber of Commerce has provided support and assistance to the Brooklyn Center business community; and WHEREAS, the Chamber of Commerce has maintained a close alliance with the educational community along with continuing cooperation with other civic organizations in Brooklyn Center; and WHEREAS, the Chamber of Commerce has established a close working relationship with City government along with providing a valuable informational service for private citizens in Brooklyn Center. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the month of January be designated Chamber of Commerce Month here in Brooklyn Center. December 22, 1980 Date ATTEST: r Clerk Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Tony Kuefler and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, and Celia Scott; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
