HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-300 CCRMember Tony Kuefler introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 80 -300 RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 1980 GENERAL FUND BUDGET WHEREAS, Section 7.09 of the City Charter of the City of Brooklyn Center does provide for a contingency appropriation as a part of the General Fund Budget, and further provides that the contingency appropriation may be transferred to any other appropriation by the City Council; and WHEREAS, Section 7.08 of the City Charter does also provide for the increase of a budget appropriation by the City Council if the actual receipts exceed the estimates: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Ctiy Council of the City of Brooklyn Center to amend the 1980 General Fund Budget as follows: 1. Transfer $47,600 from the Contingency Appropriation (Account No. 01- 4995 000 -80) to the following departmental appropriation in the amounts shown: Independent Audit (Dept. No. 17) 600 Legal Counsel (Dept. No. 18) 38,000 Fire Protection (Dept. No. 32) 4,000 Community Center (Dept. No. 66) 5,000 2. Increase the appropriations for the following departments in the amount listed for the reason that the actual receipts from the activity exceed the budget revenue estimate by at least the amount of the appropriation increase: Engineering (Dept. No. 41) 5,000 Weed Control (Dept. No. 46) 2,000 Parks and Recreation Adult Programs (Dept. No. 62) 16,000 Childrens Programs (Dept. No. 64) 3,000 General Programs (Dept. No. 65) 12,000 December 22, 1980 Date May ATTEST:G�� Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, and Celia Scott; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
