HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-076 CCRManber Tony Kuefler moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. introduced the following resolution and 80 -76 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING GEOMETRIC IMPROVE ENT PROJECT NO. 1980 -07 AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS (65th Avenue North/ Freeway Boulevard- Humboldt Avenue North /T.H. 100 Intersection) 1 �I WHEREAS, the City Council via Resolution No. 79 -194, adopted August 27, 1979, did contract with the firm of Short- Elliot Hendrickson, Inc. for the design of a traffic control signal system at the intersection of 65th Avenue North/Freeway Boulevard- Humboldt Avenue North /T.H. 100; and WHEREAS, said consultant has recommended, and the City Engineer has concurred, that certain geometric improvements to the aforementioned inter- section are necessary to the proper functioning of a signal system at said intersection; and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it necessary to initiate Improvement Project No. 1980 -07. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, to direct the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement project described as follows: 1980 -07 Geometric Improvements Street widening, curb and gutter, and concrete median construction at the intersection of 65th Avenue North/ Freeway Boulevard- Humboldt Avenue North /T.H. 100 inter- section. March 24, 1980 Date Mayor ATTEST: 2 Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Celia Scott and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka, and Celia Scott; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
