RESOLUTION NO. 80 -89
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND APPROVING CONTRACT FORM
SUMMIT DRIVE NORTH IMPROVEMENT- CONTRACT 1980 -D
WHEREAS, the City Clerk and the City Engineer have reported that on
April 15, 1980, at 11:00 A.M., Local Time, they opened and tabulated bids
received for Summit Drive North Improvement Project 1980 -02 and 03, that said
bids were as follows:
Aron Construction Company, Inc.
Victor Carlson and Sons, Inc.
Concrete Curb Company
Hardrives, Inc.
Progressive Contractors, Inc.
Thomas Sons Construction

Total Bid Amount
$98,411.56
$99,896.30
$86,457.85
$92,163.50
$89,510.95
$79,548.15
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City Engineer to the satisfaction
of the City Council that the bid of Thomas and Sons Construction is the best bid
submitted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the bid of Thomas and Sons Construction, in the
amount of $79,548.15, as to furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, and equip-
ment in connection with the above mentioned improvement projects, according to the
plans and specifications therefore now on file in the office of the City Clerk, is
deemed to be the best bid submitted for said work by a responsible bidder, and said
bid is hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Manager are hereby
authorized to execute a contract with said bidder.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member
Gene Lhotka and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in
favor thereof Dean Nyquist, Bill F. gnar., Gene Lhotka, and Celia Scott,
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
