HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-093 CCRr Member Gene Lhotka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 80 -93 RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 79 -77 ORDERING WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 1979 -1 WHEREAS a petition has been presented to the City Council requesting a water service connection to the property at 5301 Humboldt Avenue North, said property legally described as Lot 1, Block 1, Humbolt Addition, (P.I.N. 02- 118 -21 44 0032); and WHEREAS the City Council deems it necessary to include the afore described improvement in Water Main Improvement Project No. 1979 -1 under Street Upgrading Contract 1980 -A. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that it is hereby determined that it is necessary and for the best interests of the City and the owners of the aforedescribed property specially benefited thereby, that Resolution No. 79 -77 dated March 12, 1979, be amended to include the water service connection to the aforedescribed property. The estimated cost for this water service connection is $1,564.00. April 21, 1980 Date ATTEST: Clerk Mayor The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka, and Celia Scott; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON A PROPOSED PROJECT OR PROJECTS AND THE ISSUANCE OF INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT REVENUE BONDS UNDER THE MUNICIPAL INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT ACT, MINNESOTA STATUTES, CHAPTER 474, AS AMENDED CITY OF BROOKLYN CENTER, MINNESOTA LJ NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the governing body of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota (the "City will meet on May 19 198o, at 8 :00 o'clock P.M. at Brooklyn Center City Hall, in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, for the purpose of conducting a public hearing on a proposal that the City issue its revenue bonds under the Municipal Industrial Development Act, Minnesota Stat- utes, Chapter 474, as amended, in order to finance the cost of a project or projects. The proposed project or projects will consist of the acquisition of land within the City and the construction thereon of one or more structures as usable facilities for the carrying on of certain productive commercial activity of various types all to be owned by Commercial Partners, Inc., a Delaware corporation, for use in the Company's business. The estimated total amount of the proposed bond issue is $7,200,000. The bonds shall be limited obligations of the City and the bonds and interest thereon shall be payable solely from the revenues pledged to the payment thereof, except that such bonds may be secured by a mortgage and other encumbrance on the project or projects. No holder of any such bond shall ever have the right to compel any exercise of the taxing power of the City to pay the bonds, or the interest thereon, nor to enforce payment against any property of the City except the project or projects. A draft copy of the proposed application to the Minnesota Commissioner of Securities for approval of the project or projects, together with all attachments and exhibits thereto, is available for public inspection at the City Hall on May 1 1.9'0 All persons interested may appear and be heard at the time and place set forth above.
