HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-119 CCRrl �l Member Gene Lhotka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 80 -119 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND APPROVING CONTRACT FORM (66TH AVENUE NORTH IMPROVEMENTS CONTRACT 1980 E) WHEREAS, the City Clerk and the City Engineer have reported that on May 13, 1980, at 11:00 A.M., Local Time, they opened and tab- ulated bids received for 66th Avenue North Improvement Project Nos. 1980 -11, 12, and 13 (Contract 1980 -E), that said bids were as follows; BIDDER Axel Newman Heating Plumbing G. L. Contracting, Inc. Julian Johnson Construction Kirkwold Construction 0 P Contracting Randall Contracting, Inc. TOTAL BID AMOUNT 93,062.19 63,477.90 62,180.00 49,430.55 55,759.47 61,556.35 Thomas Sons Construction 61,224.00 Denotes corrected bid total. WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City Engineer to the satisfaction of the City Council that the bid of Kirkwold Construction is the best bid submitted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the bid of Kirkwold Construction, in the amount of $49,430.55 as to furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, and equipment in connection with the above mentioned improvement projects, according to the plans and specifications therefor now on file in the office of the City Clerk, is deemed to be the best bid submitted for said work by a responsible bidder, and said bid is hereby accepted. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute a contract with said bidder. May 19, 1980 Date Mayor ATTEST: Deputy Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka, and Celia Scott; and the following voted against the same: none; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
