noved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 80 -120
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF BUILDING MA TERIALS
FOR BROOKLANE PARK SHELTER BUILDING
WHEREAS, Chapter 471.345 of the Minnesota Statutes provides for the
purchase of merchandise, materials, or equipment, or any kind of construction
work by informal quotations when the amount of such contract is less than ten
thousand dollars ($10,000); and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has obtained quotations on the purchase
of materials for the Brooklane Park Shelter Building and said quotations were
as follows:
Firm: Quotation:
Hamele Recreation Company, Inc. $'8,969.36
West Central Recreational Supply, Inc. $12,150.00
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has analyzed said quotations and has found
the apparent low quotation to be in order.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center that the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to
contract for the purchase of said building materials from Hamele Recreation
Company, Inc. in the amount shown above.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Treasurer is hereby directed
to encumber the amount of $8,969.36 from the Capital Improvements Fpad..

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Tony Kuefler and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka,
and Celia Scott;
and the following voted against the same: none;
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
