HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-127 CCRMember Celia Scott introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 80 127 RESOLUTION .ACCEPTING QUOTATION FOR FURNISHING SAID (SELF'CI' GRANULAR. MATERIAL) Project 1978 -41 WHEREAS, Chapter 471.345 of the Minnesota Statutes provides for the purchase of merchandise, materials, or equipment, or any kind of construction work by informal quotations when the amount of such contract is less than ten thousand dollars ($10,000); and WHEREAS, the City Engineer has obtained quotations for furnishing sand or select granular material and said quotations were as follows: Barton Contracting: Washed sand (not loaded) 1 f J U.D. Contracting: Select granular '.grow (not loaded) Washed sand (not loaded) Select granular borrow (loaded) Washed sand (loaded) $.90 /Cu. Yd. $.60 /Cu. Yd. 90 /Cu. Yd. $1.00 /Cu. Yd. $1.30 /Cu. Yd. WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City Engineer to the satisfaction of the City Council that the quotation of U.D. Contracting is the best quotation submitted. NON, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the quotation of U.D. Contracting as to furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, and equipmnt in connection with the above mentioned improvement project is deemed to be the best quotation submitted for said wDrk by a responsible contractor, and said quotation is hereby accepted. June 9, 1980 Date ATTEST: Cferk BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to execute a contract with said contractor. Ma` or The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by der Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, and Celia Scott; and the following voted against the same: none; whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
