HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-136 CCRMember Bill Fignar introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0. 80- 136 RESOLUTION EXPRESSING RECOGNITION AND APPRECIATION FOR THE DEDICATED PUBLIC SERVICE OF ALICE VELANDER WHEREAS, Alice Velander served the City of Brooklyn Center for over fifteen years as an employee in the Department of Finance since March 9, 1965; and WHEREAS, she retired from Public Service on May 16, 1980; and 1 [1 WHEREAS, her devotion to the tasks and responsibilities associated with her position contributed substantially to the sound progress and development of the City; and WHEREAS, her public service and civic effort for the betterment of the community merit the gratitude of the citizens of Brooklyn Center. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center that the dedicated public service of Alice Velander is recognized and appreciated by the City of Brooklyn Center and that the City wishes her a long and happy retirement. June 9, 1980 Date MayG ATTEST:, �rlerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Celia Scott and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, and Celia Scott; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
