HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-140 CCRMember Bill Fignar introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 80 -140 RESOLUTION APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS FOR FURNISHING AND DELIVERY OF PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT AND DIRECTING ADVERTISE- MENT FOR BIDS BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota as follows: 1. The specifications for furnishing and delivery of playground equipment as prepared by the City's Parks and Recreation Director are hereby approved and ordered filed with the City Clerk. 2. The Clerk shall advertise for bids for such equipment by publication at least once in the official newspaper, the date of first publication not less than ten days prior to the date of receipt of bids. Said notice shall state that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed and accompanied by a cash deposit, bid bond, cashier's check or certified check payable to the City Clerk in an amount of not less than five per cent of the accompanying bid. 3. Bid date is set for Tuesday, July 15, 1980, at 11:00 a.m. 4. The City Manager shall be authorized to open and tabulate the bids. June 23, 1980 Date Mayor ,tea ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Celia Scott and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka, and Celia Scott; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. f
