RESOLUTION NO. R0_JAZ
RESOLUTION PERTAINING TO STATE BIKEWAY GRANT FOR PEDESTRIAN/
BICYCLE BRIDGE NO. 27615 OVER T.H. 100 AT SUMMIT DRIVE
(S.P. 109 115 -01, M5402(10))
WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center has applied to the Commissioner
of Transportation for a grant from the Minnesota Outdoor Recreation Act, Chapter
421 for the development of a bikeway from Summit Drive to 59th Avenue North and
located within MN T.H. 100 (bike -ped bridge) Road Right -Of -Way.
WHEREAS, the amount of the grant has been determined to be $25,928.71
by reason of the lowest responsible bid.
NOW, THIIZEE'ORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota does hereby affirm that any cost of the Bikeway in
excess of the grant will be the responsibility of the City of Brooklyn Center,
and that any grant monies appropriated for the bikeway but not required, based
on the final estimate, shall be returned to the Minnesota Outdoor Recreation
Fund, Minnesota Department of Transportation.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Manager are hereby
authorized to sign and execute on behalf of the City of Brooklyn Center, (county
of Hennepin), Grant Agreement Number 27- 0460 -01, with the State of Minnesota, a
copy of which was before the City Council.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Bill Fignar and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka, and Celia
Scott;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
