HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-144 CCRMember Bill Fignar introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 80 -144 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING BROOKLANE PARK SHELTER BUILDING PROJECT NO. 1980 -17 AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS WHEREAS, the City Council on October 15, 1979, did, in Resolution No. 79 -240, acknowledge the condemnation of the existing shelter building in Brooklane Park and order its demolition; and WHEREAS, the City Council did, in the aforementioned resolution, appropriate $25,000.00 from the Capital Projects Fund to serve as funds for the construction of a replacement structure for the former shelter building; and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it necessary to initiate Brooklane Park Shelter Building Project No. 1980 -17 in order to provide for a replacement structure for the condemned and demolished former shelter building in Brooklane Park. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, to direct the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement project described as follows: 1980 -17: Brooklane Park Shelter Building Construction of a new shelter building in Brooklane Park. June 23, 1980 Date Nlayor ATTEST:� Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Gene Lhotka and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka, and Celia Scott; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
