and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 80 -147
RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING CENTRAL PARK SHELTER BUILDING PROJECT
NO. 1980 -19 AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS
WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center has received a IAWCON grant
for the purpose of effecting certain improvements in Central Park; and
WHEREAS, included in said grant are funds for the construction of
a picnic shelter building in the southeast area of Central Park; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it necessary to initiate Central
Park Shelter Building Project No. 1980 -19.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, to direct the City Engineer to prepare plans and
specifications for said improvement project described as follows:
1980 -19: Central Park Shelter Building
Construction of a picnic shelter building in Central Park.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Treasurer is hereby directed
to encuunber the amount of $33,220 from the LAWCON Fund (Fund No. 28) for con-
struction of this work.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Gene Lhotka and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka, and Celia
Scott;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
