HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-147 CCRMember Bill Fignar introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 80 -147 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING CENTRAL PARK SHELTER BUILDING PROJECT NO. 1980 -19 AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center has received a IAWCON grant for the purpose of effecting certain improvements in Central Park; and WHEREAS, included in said grant are funds for the construction of a picnic shelter building in the southeast area of Central Park; and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it necessary to initiate Central Park Shelter Building Project No. 1980 -19. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, to direct the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement project described as follows: 1980 -19: Central Park Shelter Building Construction of a picnic shelter building in Central Park. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Treasurer is hereby directed to encuunber the amount of $33,220 from the LAWCON Fund (Fund No. 28) for con- struction of this work. Date Mayor ATTEST: Cbikk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Gene Lhotka and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka, and Celia Scott; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
