moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 80 -167
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) TAILGATE
TYPE MATERIAL SPREADER
WHEREAS, Chapter 471.345 of the Minnesota Statutes provides for the
purchase of merchandise, materials or equipment, or any kind of construction
work by informal quotations when the amount of such contract is less than ten
thousand dollars ($10,000); and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has obtained quotations on the purchase of
one (1) tailgate type material spreader and has determined that the quotation
of Mac Queen Equipment Company in the amount of $1,330 for one (1) tailgate type
material spreader is the best quotation submitted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Brooklyn Center that the City Manager be authorized to contract for the purchase
of one (1) tailgate type material spreader in the amount of $1,330 from Mac
Queen Equipment Company.

The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by
member Gene Lhotka and upon vote being taken thereon, the following
voted in favor thereof: Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka,
and Celia Scott;
and the following voted against the same: none,
whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
