HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-170 CCRMember Bill Fignar introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 80 -170 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND APPROVIM CONTRACT FORA FOR CENTRAL PARK ATHLETIC FIELD LIGHTING SYSTEM'CONl'RACT 1980 -H WHEREAS, the City Clerk and the City Engineer have reported that on July 7, 1980, at 11:00 A.M., Central Standard Time, they opened and tabulated bids received for the Athletic Field Lighting System Portion of Central Park Facilities Project No. 1980 -09, and that said bids were as follows: Hayes Contractors, Inc. Twin City Electric Co. Killmer Electric Co., Inc. Hoffman Electric Co. Electric Service Co. Ridgedale Electric, Inc. Total Base Bid Amount $132,600.00 $142,000.00 $145,360.00 $168,700.00 $173,400.00 $184,000.00 WH MEAS, it has been determined by the City Engineer to the satisfaction of the City Council that the bid of Hayes Contractors, Inc. is the best bid sub- mitted. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, that the bid of Hayes Contractors, Inc. in the amount of $132,600.00, as to furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, and equipment in connection with the above mentioned improvement project(s), according to the plans and specifications therefor now on file in the office of the City Clerk, is deer)ed to be the best bid submitted for said work by a responsible bidder, and said bid is hereby accepted. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Nknager are hereby authorized to execute a contract with said bidder. July 21, 1980 r Date Mayor ATTEST: Clerk The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Tony Kuefler and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof Dean Nyquist, Tony Kuefler, Bill Fignar, Gene Lhotka, and Celia Scott; and the following voted against the same: none, whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
